On the outskirts of Dakota City, NE, the Andersen family had an idea to turn the ground that was once an 18 hole golf course into a prestigious & challenging 9 hole course. In 2007, the Andersens purchased the ground and began their redesign. They turned the former 18 holes golf course into a formidable 9 hole course with large undulating greens, links-style roughs while still keeping the existing tree groves.

After the course redesign was complete, the only thing left was to give the course a new name. And thus was born the Old Dane Golf Club.
